Icelandic vocalist and songwriter Soffía will be having a special concert at SKÝ Lounge and Bar accompanied by Pétur Ben on the guitar. Join us for a relaxing time and listen to this incredible local artist and her band on May 11th as you enjoy the incredible views at SKÝ.

Soffía and Pétur Ben have been collaborating since 2015. Pétur was the guitarist on Soffía's debut album, titled 'Soffía Björg', and was also a featured artist on her second album, 'The Company You Keep'.

Currently, the songwriting team is working on Soffía's third album, with Pétur serving as the producer of the albums and co-writing several of the songs with Soffía.

They will perform material from the upcoming album mixed with music from both of their repertoires.

Soffía is a musician from Borgarfjörður, a songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist, holding a BA degree in classical composition from the Iceland University of the Arts. She has composed music for theatre and participated in various projects, in addition to releasing and performing her own songs. Besides Pétur, Soffía has collaborated with a diverse group of lyricists and musicians, including Fríða Dís, Krummi Björgvin, Sigga Kling, and Hallmar Sigurðsson.

Pétur Ben is a songwriter, guitarist, producer, and film composer.

He has released three albums; Wine for My Weakness (2008), Numbers Game (2011), and Gods Lonely Man (2012). Currently, he is well into the production of his fourth album. Over the past years, he has composed for various film projects and has received the Edda Award for 'Metalhead' (2013) and 'Prisoners' (2017).

Throughout his career, Pétur has worked with a diverse group of artists including Shahzad Ismaily, Nick Cave, Mugison, Oyama, Valdimar, Sóley, Amiina, Lay Low, and Emiliana Torrini.
